Description

Sept. 24-25, Bay Area students are invited to NASA Ames to have an out-of-this-world experience: the opportunity to “travel” to Mars in an immersive virtual reality bus and experience what it means to be part of Generation Beyond– the generation of the first humans that will travel to Mars and beyond.

In addition to riding the Lockheed Martin Mars Experience Bus, guests will receive a mission briefing booklet, design and print their own mission patch stickers, learn about the Orion space capsule that will take humans to Mars and take a green screen photo with their choice of Mars background.

Tickets are free, but guests are asked to register for a ticket for the timeframe they can attend because bus seats are limited. To register, select your date, then hit the green "Register" button above to select your ride timeframe. There will be about five rides per hour, so plan to ride as soon as you are able. Please be on time and only request tickets that you know you will use. Upon completion, tickets will be emailed. Please print the tickets and bring them to the event. The parking lot is under construction, so plan to arrive ahead of your scheduled time to allow for parking.
